September will mark the beginning of Sacramental Preparation Programs at St. Therese Parish. If you or members of your family are ready to sign up, please call the parish office (503-256-5850) to get your names and contact information on the list! Opportunities listed below:

• OCIA (formerly known as RCIA): Adults who are interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith and/or preparing to receive sacraments of Baptism, Reconciliation, the Eucharist, Confirmation. Sessions will begin in September on Wednesday evenings in the Parish Social Center (PSC).

• Confirmation: Since preparation for this sacrament was not offered recently at St. Therese, we are inviting teens, 12-17 years of age to join in a multi-faceted program of doctrinal preparation, service projects, and Youth group activities like waterfall hikes, sports, beach trips. Times will begin in September and vary by activity – Wednesday evenings, or weekend times.

• First Reconciliation/First Eucharist: Pr epar ation will begin in September for children 7-14 who desire to make their first confession in the fall and receive their first communion in the spring. Children in this age group who desire baptism will be prepared through the OCIC Program of the Parish.
